Makeup Foundation Tutorial
Foundation is used to cover slight imperfections such as skin discoloration or redness. If applied correctly, it looks natural and makes skin appear flawless. If it is not applied correctly, foundation can look caked on and draw attention to flaws you want covered up. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Choose a foundation and a primer. The foundation should match your skin tone. Test shades on the back of your hand to see which color foundation works best for you. A primer is a clear silicone-based product that fills in any wrinkles and creases. It helps makeup slide on easily and doesn't fill wrinkles.
-
2
Squeeze a dime-size amount of primer into your hand.
-
-
3
Rub the primer between your fingers. Apply a thin layer of it to your face and neck.
-
4
Pour a nickel-size amount of foundation on the back of your hand.
-
5
Use your finger and dot the foundation from the back of your hand onto your forehead, cheeks, chin, nose and under both eyes.
-
6
Rub a makeup sponge up the bridge of your nose and across your forehead. This is to blend the foundation into your skin.
-
7
Blend the foundation under your eyes, and then move on to your cheeks and chin. As you blend the foundation on your chin, blend it into the neck, as well as your face.
-
8
Go over the areas at your hairline and at your jawline with a makeup sponge again. It's important to blend these areas well so there is not a distinguishable line where the makeup ends and your clean skin begins.
-
9
Look at the creases beside your nostrils and around your eyes. Make sure the makeup isn't caked into those creases. If it is, go over the areas with a makeup sponge again.
