How to Sync a Plantronic

Plantronics headsets are comprised of a base station and a headset. The Plantronics base station is a bridge between the handset jack on the phone and the regular handset. The base station then connects wirelessly to the headset. The headset replaces the function of the handset. In order for this to work, the base station and headset need to be synchronized or linked. Plantronics calls this "subscribing."

• Paper clip

Instructions

1. Place the Plantronics headset on the base station.

2. Press and hold the "Subscription" button with a paper clip. The button is within a pin hole on the back of the base station, above the white label. Press the paper clip against the button until the green light on the base station flashes.

3. Press and hold the volume wheel on the top of the headset until the green light on the headset comes on. Allow the green light on the headset to become steady and watch for the red light on the base station to extinguish. The Plantronics headset will be synced.

Tips & Warnings

• You can also reset the headset, which can help fix problems with the unit. Unplug the AC power from the base station and the USB cable from the computer. Wait a moment and then plug the USB cable back in. Wait 10 seconds and then plug the AC adapter back into the base station.
