How to Unzip a Font Folder

"Zipping" is a process for compressing computer files so they take up less disk space. Due to the size limitation imposed on some email attachments, some computer users choose to zip files so they can be sent. If you receive or download a zipped folder containing fonts, you can quickly unzip it to access and install the files. You should allow about 2 minutes for this task.

Unzip A File of Folder in Windows

1. Locate the zipped file in a new Windows Explorer window. Zipped files end with ".zip."

2. Right click the file.

3. Select "Extract" from the menu. Windows will unzip the file, placing its contents in the same folder as the original. You can then install the fonts on your system.

1. Locate the zipped file in a new Finder window. Zipped files end with ".zip."

2. Double-click the file.

3. Wait as the file is unzipped. The contents of the zip file are placed in the same folder as the original.
