Strawberry juice stains are a type of water-based stain that is known for leaving pink and red marks or stains on carpet. Whether juicy strawberries have been dropped on the carpet or strawberry juice has been spilled, it's important to remove the stain as promptly as possible so there's less chance for the stain to penetrate the carpet fibers and padding.       Scoop up any strawberry or strawberry juice substance with a spoon. Throw away the strawberry substance.

      Wick up as much strawberry juice liquid as possible with paper towels. Lay the paper towels over the stain and press down with your hands to soak up the juice. Change to clean paper towels and continue to wick up the liquid until there's no further transfer of liquid to paper towels.

      Combine 1/4 tsp. of clear hand dish washing liquid with 1 cup of warm water in a bowl. Wet a clean white cloth with the mild soapy solution and blot at the strawberry juice stain, working from the outside of the stain toward the middle. Move to a clean portion of the cloth and continue to blot at the stain.

      Rinse the carpet with warm water on a clean cloth. Blot the area until the soap solution is lifted. Press paper towels into the carpet to remove as much liquid from cleaning and rinsing, as possible.

      Stir 2 tbsp. of ammonia and 1 cup of lukewarm water together in a bowl. Blot the strawberry juice stain, from the exterior toward the middle, with a clean cloth dipped in the ammonia solution. Continue to blot for a few minutes. Rinse the carpet with another clean cloth dampened in plain water.

      Mix 2 cups of water and 1 cup of white vinegar together. Dampen a clean cloth in the diluted vinegar solution and blot it onto the carpet to remove the last remnants of the strawberry juice stains. Soak up as much vinegar solution as possible with paper towels until you're no longer able to wick up any moisture.

Tips & Warnings

  • Tend to any type of fruit juice stain as quickly as possible before it has a chance to set.

  • Always blot when removing strawberry juice stains. Scrubbing will spread the stain further.
