      Insert the USB stick into a free USB port on the laptop.

      Click "Start" and open "Computer."

      Double-click the icon for your USB drive. This will be under the Devices With Removable Storage area.

      Click and drag you personal files into the USB drive.

      Remove the USB, click "Start" and select "Shut Down."

      Start up your computer and instantly press and hold '0' to prompt options regarding your recovery partition.

      Select "Recovery of Factory Default Software" and click "Next." This will replace your existing partition with the recovery partition.

      Confirm the decision to begin the process. Once the process is finished, your computer will restart.

      Wait for your computer to fully load, insert your USB stick and restore your personal files.
