How to Disable iTunes Launch
By default, iTunes is set to launch and sync automatically when you connect an iPod, iPhone or iPad. The automatic sync can be especially problematic if you don't want to sync your device, or if a friend connects his iPod to your PC to charge. ITunes will sync to the device, erasing music, photos and other information present on the iPod in an attempt to replace your friend's media with your iTunes data.
