How to Repair the Neon Lighting
Neon lights operate on up to 12,000 volts of electricity, and only those who understand the dangers of working with such strong voltage should fix this form of illumination. However, because of the popularity of various forms of neon lights, obtaining replacement parts generally does not take much effort; most are available from a local repair shop or big box store.

1
Figure out if any part of the neon tubing is cracked. Shake the tubing slightly. If you find a crack or break, get rid of that piece of tubing by removing the mounting wires with your hands or with a pair of needle-nose pliers. Replace it with new tubing that is the same size as the previous tubing by using pliers to put it in place.

2
Examine the transformer to determine if voltage is flowing to the neon light. Take out the transformer wire leads on the tubing mount. Take off the case and slowly unravel the wires in that location. Connect the transformer to a part of the tubing you know is not damaged. If the part does not illuminate, buy a new transformer to fix the issue.

Verify the electrical cord is not corroded or otherwise damaged. If the cord requires repair, you can get a replacement from a business that sells neon lighting accessories.

4
Pay a business that fixes neon lighting to cut the tubing, place new gas in the tubing and put the tubing back into place. This may cost you less money than you realize, so contact a company that fixes neon signs to obtain a quote for their repair services.
