Old furniture can be boring, it can go out of style, and it can collect a lot of nicks, but old furniture is usually built with sturdy and durable materials. If you're not ready to get rid of your old bedroom furniture, spice it up with a few techniques such as repainting, adding customized details, and replacing old hardware.

Restoring and Restyling Bedroom Furniture Collection

1. Clean the bedroom furniture by wiping it down with a damp rag immediately following with a dry rag. Use a sandpaper with a fine grit to lightly sand the bedroom furniture. After sanding, wipe the furniture with a microfiber rag to remove dust.

2. Paint or stain the furniture depending on the look that you want. Paint the furniture with white paint for a casual chic style, stain it darker for a modern style, use light to medium brown shades for traditional style, or go with bright green or blue for country style.

3. Nail decorative wood molding to a wooden headboard to give it a distinctive look.
