How Do I Get the Handle Off a Faucet So I Can Clean It?
Removing a handle off a faucet to clean it depends on what type of faucet handle you have. The two most common faucet handles are rotary knob types and lever type handles. Each secures to the faucet with a screw. The faucet handles fit over either a faucet stem or a faucet cartridge. Removing the handle from the faucet requires turning the water supply off to the faucet. This prevents the water from spraying out of the top of the cartridge or stem when you remove the handle. Does this Spark an idea?
