Instructions

    • 1

Send out a letter or email two or three months prior to the family reunion asking each family member to submit their favorite recipes to you. Include the request in the invitation if you'd like.

    • 2

Call all family members who have not yet submitted a recipe a month before the reunion. Ask for them to email the recipe to you as soon as possible, or to read it out to you over the phone.

    • 3

Using a computer word processing program, enter each recipe on a separate page. Add clip-art pictures to the corners of the pages, or choose a border for each page to pull the recipes together.

    • 4

Collect pictures from previous family reunions. If you do not have any, ask family members or choose photographs from weddings, baptisms or other celebrations.

    • 5

Scan the photographs into your computer if they are not already in digital form. Place one photograph on each page with a recipe.

    • 6

Print the pages out at home using a color printer. Alternatively, take the document to a professional printing store using a DVD or USB stick.

    • 7

Purchase one white plastic binder per family member receiving a cookbook. Look for binders that have clear plastic on the outside and an opening to slide a cover page in between the white and clear plastics. Also purchase clear plastic binder pockets for each cookbook page.

    • 8

Put the cookbook pages into the clear binder pockets and place them in the white binders.

    • 9

Add a cover page with a photograph of the whole family and the title of the cookbook.
