How Do I Remove the Bean Container on a Cuisinart Coffee Grinder DBM-8?
The Cuisinart DBM-8 coffee bean grinder is what is known as a burr grinder. While more inexpensive coffee grinders use a spinning blade to chop up the beans, the DBM-8 employs a rotating wheel that has a rough surface (or burrs) designed to grind up the beans. Removing the bean container is sometimes necessary to clean the unit. Does this Spark an idea?

Unplug the unit. Remove all beans from the bean container.

Turn the bean container, also known as the bean hopper, in a clockwise direction until it comes loose from the unit.

Replace the bean hopper by placing it in position and turning it in a counterclockwise direction. Restore power to the unit.

Tips & Warnings
Use a damp cloth or paper towel to gently remove build-up on the rotating grinding wheel.
