How to Retrieve Deleted Text Messages on a BlackBerry Pearl
Accidentally deleting an important text message can be disasterous. Unfortunately, without spyware there is no sure way to retrieve the deleted text message. However, if you can remember a few key words of the text message that you deleted, chances are you can recover the text in your Blackberry Pearl's backup memory. For future reference, there is free software available that you can install on your Blackberry Pearl that will record all of your texts just in case you accidentally delete one that you need.

Press the "Blackberry" button on your phone's keypad.

Select the "Search" icon from the Blackberry menu.

Select the box that says "Messages" next to it.

Type in any keywords that you remember from the text you deleted.

Tips & Warnings
Please be aware that the more recent the text was deleted, the better chance you have of finding it this way. Unfortunately, as of now, there is no absolute way to see the text you deleted without spyware, a forensic investigation into your phone or a court order of the text messages to your cellular phone service provider.
Some cellular phone providers offer plans where you can view your texts in your online account.
There are several products on the market specifically for Blackberry cellular phones that will "spy" on the SIM card where all information regarding old text messages are stored. An internet search for these products will reveal quite a few options.
There is free Blackberry software that you can download at www.dexrex.com that will record all of your texting conversations in case you accidentally delete an important text message in the future.
If you wish to save the message that was deleted, you will need to first open it, highlight and copy the content, open a new message to send, paste the old messages content in the new message, and then forward the message to your own number or email address.
