      Plug in your USB Bluetooth device to an empty port and wait for the system to recognize it. Click "No" when asked if you want to run a hardware installation wizard.

      Insert the software installation CD that came with your Bluetooth device. If your CD drive is set to "Auto Run," click "Install Software" when the dialog pops up. Otherwise, double-click the CD's desktop icon to open its contents and open "Install.exe."

      Follow the on-screen instructions for installing the USB device on your ThinkPad. These instructions vary from system to system and may require that you enter personal information about other Bluetooth devices you may have.
