Syncing your iTunes to your iPod or iPhone allows you to update your music by simply plugging your device into the computer. When you sync your iPod to iTunes it can sync with multiple computers. However, keep in mind that any time you plug it into a computer and sync your iPod or iPhone to iTunes it will delete its library and add the library of the computer it is plugged into.

      Plug the white data cord into the bottom of your iPod or iPhone and into a free USB drive on your computer.

      Launch iTunes through your desktop or start menu if the program does not launch automatically. Click the name of your iPod or iPhone from the left menu.

      Check the box next to "Sync device to library." Apply changes by clicking the "Apply Changes" button. Any time your iPod or iPhone is plugged into multiple computers it will sync the library. When the device registers with a computer a box may appear to confirm the sync. Click "OK" and proceed with the sync.
