Instructions

    • 1

Lay your dress out and stick glow-in-the-dark stars all over it, front and back.

    • 2

Glue several stars to a headband.

    • 3

Put on your dress carefully, then put on your headband.

    • 4

Apply glitter liberally to your face, neck, hands and hair.

    • 5

Unwind the star garland (a silver or gold Christmas garland) and, using a small safety pin, pin it from the inside to the side of your dress's neckline. Then, starting at your neck, unwind it and wrap it around yourself in a diagonal fashion so that it winds down your body. When you reach the bottom of your dress, pin it from the inside again.

    • 6

Stand in front of the mirror with the light on, then turn it off and admire the effect.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you're worried about your stars coming off and not about ruining your dress, you can sew the stars on instead, making a stitch around each corner of the star.

  • If you have any sun, moon or star jewelry, be sure to wear it.

  • Make sure to buy superglue that doesn't stick to skin (check the packaging). Otherwise, you may end up with stars glued to your hands as well as to your headband.
