Instructions

-
1
Shampoo and condition your hair.
-
2
Squeeze a small amount of mousse into one hand, rub it together between your palms and run your hands through your hair after it has dried slightly.
-
-
3
Section off the top half of your hair and clip it out of the way.
-
4
Blow-dry the bottom half of your hair with a radial brush.
-
5
Pull out the sides of your hair and clip the rest back up out of the way.
-
6
Blow-dry the sides of your hair, pulling the hair under and towards your face to create a curved effect.
-
7
Take the rest of your hair down and blow-dry the crown of your hair. At this point, all of your hair should be dry.
-
8
Heat the large hot rollers.
-
9
Select a section of hair on the crown of your head no wider than the width of a hot roller.
-
10
Place the ends of this section of hair onto the hot roller and begin winding the hair under, rolling the hair slowly around the hot roller until you reach the top of your head. Ensure the ends of your hair are tucked in neatly.
-
11
Secure the hot roller with a pin or clip.
-
12
Repeat this process with more hot rollers, all the way down the back of your head to the nape of your neck. You should now have a line of hot rollers from the crown of your head down to your neck at the back of your head.
-
13
Add one hot roller to each side of your head.
-
14
Wait for the hot rollers to cool. This should take between 15 and 20 minutes.
-
15
Remove the hot rollers carefully, without tugging on the hair as this can ruin curls.
-
16
Tease hair lightly with a fine-toothed comb. Take 1-inch sections of hair around the crown of your head and move the comb in short, deep strokes up and down the first few inches of hair at the roots. Teasing or backcombing helps to add volume and body to the hair.
-
17
Rub a small amount of wax between your hands and apply it to the ends of your hair. Pinch random pieces of hair at the ends to create a piecey look and fight frizz.
-
18
Apply a small amount of smoothing serum to your hair for a shiny, healthy look.
-
19
Spray hair lightly with hairspray to set the style.
