Financial software maker Intuit caters to small businesses with its QuickBooks Online product. This financial management software is free to test-drive and inexpensive to use. Getting started with QuickBooks Online will not be difficult for those with bookkeeping and accounting skills, but novice users may find the learning curve steep. Whatever your experience level, there are many online tools that can help you learn QuickBooks Online at your own pace, from your own home or with other users.

Instructions

1. Download the free version of QuickBooks Online from Intuit at quickbooks.intuit.com. This free version lasts for 30 days; after that, basic packages begin at $9.95 per month. You'll need at least the free version to learn using any method.

2. Browse Intuit's list of support for Quick Books Online (see Resources). Consider getting help from a Quick Books Online expert near your town, taking Intuit's online Certified User program or attending a live class to learn Quick Books Online. Learn all about these options at Intuit's support website then sign up for an option that interests you.

3. Watch YouTube videos uploaded by IntuitQuickBooks, Mindjolt and other users by searching for "quick books online" at youtube.com. Topics covered include overviews of Quick Books Online, mastery of Quick Books Online, backing up your files and changing your password in Quick Books Online.

4. Sign up for a Quick Books Online course offered through distance learning (see Resources). You'll be taught how to navigate through Quick Books Online and you can complete the course at your own pace.
