How to Convert PCM to WAV
A Pulse Code Modulation or PCM file is an uncompressed audio file often produced with digital recording software. While a PCM sounds great, the file size is large and you can't stream it online. Convert PCM files to WAV format for easy online streaming. Most audio players recognize WAV; it is also the audio format used for CD recording. Several audio editing and conversion programs can create WAV files from PCM files.

Download the free trial of GoldWave. Install the program, launch it and open the PCM file that you want to convert. Click "File," choose "Save As" and select the WAV extension from the drop-down menu.

Visit the Audacity website and download the free program. Open the PCM file in the program and select "Export As WAV" from the file menu. Name your file and choose a location to save it to.

Download either the free trial or the full commercial version of Audio Editor from Acoustic Labs. Launch the program, click the "Open" button and find the PCM file. Click the "Save" button; select "WAV" from the drop-down menu. Name the file and click the "Save" button.
