How to Preserve Chocolate Chips
Chocolate chips are a common ingredient in many dessert and breakfast items, such as chocolate chip cookies and chocolate chip pancakes. You can also melt them to make brownies, mix them with hot milk to make hot chocolate or add them to your coffee for a homemade mocha. Over time, chocolate chips can eventually become discolored and lose their smooth texture. To avoid this, preserve your chocolate chips by storing them properly. Does this Spark an idea?

Place your glass container full of chocolate chips in a place that stays at a moderate but never hot temperature, ideally 55 to 65 degrees Fahrenheit. If your chocolate chips get too cold, they can become discolored, while if they get too hot they may melt. Choose a storage location that's out of direct sunlight, as the sun can melt your chocolate chips even if the surrounding air stays relatively cool.
