How to Set Up Voicemail on a MetroPCS Phone

Voicemail is an important part of any cell phone service, such as the service provided by MetroPCS. Voicemail allows you to receive calls even if you cannot access your phone, or your phone is turned off. When you first start your MetroPCS service, however, your voicemail system is not automatically configured; you must set it up before using it.

Instructions

1. Press "1" and "Send" at the same time on your cell phone.

2. Press the "*" button at the greeting to enter the voicemail menu.

3. Dial "9999" when prompted by the voicemail system.

4. Enter a new password when prompted to by the system.

5. Record a new greeting if desired, or select the generic greeting option.
