Browse the Web for a greeting card website. A few of the popular greeting card sites include Hallmark, 123 Greetings, American Greetings and Blue Mountain. These particular websites offer a wide variety of Christmas eCards to choose from.

Search for a Christmas eCard by category, such as religious, traditional, social greetings, friendship, humor, love, business greetings or thank you. Christmas eCards come in different styles, colors and themes, and some cards are even created with music or animation to enhance their appearance. Take time to review the cards before you make a decision. When you have chosen an eCard, click on the thumbnail of that card to view the full version.

Include a message on your card. You can personalize your eCard by writing a few special words to the recipient. Don't be afraid to be creative with your message.

Provide the appropriate details on the request form. You must give the greeting card site your name and email address, along with the recipient's name and email address. You must also specify the date you want the eCard delivered to the recipient. Since you are sending a Christmas eCard, you definitely want the card delivered by December 25 of that year. For your convenience, you can request that the greeting card company notify you (through email) when the recipient views the card.

Look at your card before you send it to the recipient. Simply click the "Preview" button to see the final version of the eCard. You are able to make changes to the card at this time. When you are ready to submit the card, hit the "Send this ecard" button, and your card will be sent to the recipient on the date listed on the request form.
