Instructions

    • 1

Remove your fondant-covered cake from the box it came in. Eat as much as you want of the cake.

    • 2

Set the fondant-covered cake on a glass plate. Glass is the best surface to use because it doesn't accumulate moisture.

    • 3

Cover the cake with a cake cover. This prevents moisture from getting to your cake as well as flies or other bugs.

    • 4

Store your covered cake at room temperature. Unless there are perishable decorations, such as buttercream roses, or fillings, such as whipped cream or real fruit, that can go rancid, there is no need to put it in the fridge.

Tips & Warnings

  • Fondant-covered cake will keep covered for up to five days without drying out.

  • Storing your fondant-covered cake in the fridge will make the fondant sweat when you pull it out. Placing it in an air-conditioned room may lessen or eliminate the condensation. You also can place the cake in front of a fan to dry up the moisture.
