How to Draw Easter Chicks
If you have a child or a class of children, you may want to provide your little ones with some holiday activities. If you are celebrating an upcoming Easter season, consider teaching your children to draw an Easter chick. If you think your children are too young to draw an Easter chick, you can draw one yourself and make copies for them to color. Either way, you have an enjoyable, inexpensive activity for Easter.

1
Draw a half-circle in the bottom third of your paper. Position the half-circle so that the curved side is at the bottom and the flat side is at the top. This will be the egg.
-
2
Draw two curved lines extending upward from the center area of the half circle. Curve the line on the right outward toward the right and the line on the left outward toward the left. The lines should be far enough apart so that they will look like the body of the bird.
-
-
3
Draw a horizontal oval on top of the body section of the bird. This will be the chick's head.
-
4
Erase the top, flat side of the half-circle and replace it with a jagged line that looks like a hatched egg.
-
5
Erase a 1-inch section on top of the chick's head and replace it with three triangles of varying heights. This will create the effect of feathers on top of the head.
-
6
Draw two black circles on the face for eyes, and draw a diamond in the center of the face for a beak. Draw a horizontal oval on each side of the nose for cheeks.
-
7
Color the chick with crayons.
