How to Tune an Auto Harp
The autoharp is a stringed instrument that beginners can pick up with relatively no experience. Since its notes and chords are labeled, tuning the instrument is straightforward. If you own an autoharp, you will need to tune it occasionally since the tension on the strings can shift, causing the instrument to go out of tune.

Place the autoharp string-side up on a flat surface.

Place an electronic tuner next to the autoharp. You can clip certain types of tuners directly onto the wood of the autoharp. Turn the tuner on.

Pluck any string on the autoharp. It's best to start on one side or the other so that you don't loose your place while tuning.

Place the tuning wrench on the peg that corresponds with the string you are plucking.

Watch the tuner as you pluck the string. The tuner should read the pitch that is labeled for that string. If the pitch is too high ("sharp"), turn the wrench counter-clockwise to loosen the string. If the pitch is too low ("flat"), turn the wrench clockwise to tighten the string.

Make slight adjustments with the tuning wrench until the electronic tuner shows that the string is in tune.

Repeat this process for every string on the instrument.
