How to Open a Creative Zen

How to Open a Creative Zen thumbnail
Opening your Zen MP3 players requires a screwdriver.

If you're interested in fixing or replacing any internal components on your Creative Zen MP3 player, you're going to have to open the device. This isn't as easy as opening an iPod, as there are actually screws that must be removed on a Creative Zen. But even if you know nothing about electronics you'll find that opening your Creative Zen can be completed in only a few minutes. And the best reason to do it yourself is to save money by not paying a technician to do it for you.

Slide the power switch on the top of the Zen to the "off" position.
