How to Replace a Smoking Habit
A smoking habit usually extends beyond the nicotine addiction because a smoker learns to associate smoking with certain activities, such as relaxing after a meal or a busy day, or going out drinking with friends. As with any habit, it is easier to stop if you replace it with other enjoyable activities. Just remember---changing a habit requires persistence. Eat carrot sticks or other vegetables when craving becomes strong. Vegetables are low-calorie options that keep the mouth busy and may distract you until the craving passes.
