Instructions

    • 1

Mix five cups of any all-purpose automobile cleaner with four cups of warm water in a bucket. Dip a clean sponge into the mixture.

    • 2

Saturate the entire wheel using the sponge and solution mixed in Step 1. Remove any excess dirt or debris with the wet sponge.

    • 3

Scrub the wheel with a soft-bristled toothbrush. Rub using small, circular motions. Pay special attention to any excessively dirty or foggy areas.

    • 4

Rinse the wheel using clean water. Rinse directly after washing to prevent any soap spots.

    • 5

Dry the wheel with a lint-free cleaning cloth. Dry immediately after the area is rinsed to avoid water spots or build-up.

    • 6

Polish the wheel after it has completely dried by applying a small amount of chrome polishing compound onto the second lint-free cloth. Polish in smooth, medium-sized, circular motions. Add more compound until you achieve the desired shine.

    • 7

Spray a thin coat of automotive wax on the wheel after polishing. This adds a degree of protection from further damage and also preserves the shine.
