How to Turn on Your Cookies on the Computer

Web browsers use a type of file called a "cookie" to record your activities when surfing websites on the Internet. If cookies are enabled on your Web browser, you can immediately recognize a website that you had visited previously. If the cookie functionality is disabled on your Web browser, you must enable it manually. However, the method to turn on cookies varies with the type of Web browser used.
