How to Register a Sony PS3

The PlayStation 3 is one of Sony's video game consoles. It is commonly shortened to PS3. The PS3 has music, video and gaming options available. Sony also included a Blu-Ray player inside the PS3. Sony recommends you register your PS3 system, which allows you to take advantage of special offers from Sony and qualifies you to use the original manufacturer's warranty that is provided with the game system.

Instructions

1. Go to the PlayStation Network Product Registration web page.

2. Find the system's bar code number, which is located on the back of the PS3.

3. Locate the receipt to find the date of purchase, if you can not remember the date you purchased the PS3.

4. Type the date and bar code number next to the image of the PS3, which is the first image under Hardware. Press continue at the bottom right hand of the screen.

5. Fill in any additional information required.
