How to Monitor Activity on a Remote Computer

In today's increasingly connected age, many people have multiple computers that they use in various locations. If you need to monitor program or service activity on a remote computer, you can use the Remote Desktop Connection program installed on all Windows computers.

• IP address of computer you want to monitor

Instructions

1. Click "Start" on the local computer you are logged in to.

2. Click "All Programs," then open the "Accessories" section, then click "Remote Desktop Connection."

3. Type in the IP address of the computer you want to monitor in the Remote Desktop Connection window.

4. Press "Enter," then type in the credentials for an account on the remote computer you want to monitor.

5. Press "Enter" again and you are connected to the remote computer.
