How to Put GPS on a Kid's Car

Parents can find the location of their kid's car using a GPS tracking device.

Parents worry about the whereabouts of their kids, especially once kids begin driving and going out with friends. Global Positioning System--or GPS--tracking devices make it easy for parents to keep track of their kids, along with providing car speed monitoring and some even provide a panic button. With these devices, parents can relax a little.

Instructions

1. Purchase a small GPS tracking device, such as the Spark Nano. This device is small and runs on a rechargeable battery.

2. Place the GPS tracking device in your kid's car, overtly or hidden--the latter if you'd prefer to not be detected.

3. Track the device's location on any Web-enabled computer. No software is required; the device uses an online network. This device can track a car's speed, and offers a panic button in case parents believe a child is in trouble.
