How to Update My Wiikey
The Wiikey is a chip for the Nintendo Wii that enhances the capabilities of the system. With the Wiikey, it becomes possible to run homebrew games and play games from other regions such as Europe or Japan. Wiikey updates improve functionality of the device by eliminating bugs that could cause malfunctions or other undesirable behavior. Updates are released regularly for several different versions of the device.

Go to the Wiikey website and click "Log In" or "Register" at the top of the screen. Click "Log In" if you already have an account at this website. Supply your email address and password, then click "Log In." Click "Register" if you need to sign up. Fill in your information, then click "Register." You will be sent a confirmation email; click on the link inside to verify your account.

Select your Wiikey product from the list, then select your region.

Locate the update you want to download, then click "Get this file." Check the box to agree to the Terms and Conditions. Enter your Wiikey product's serial number and click "Add." Click "Download."

Extract the contents of the folder. For Wiikey 1 or Wiikey 2 updates, burn the file to a blank DVD using any disc burning software. For Wiikey Fusion, copy the file to an SD card.

Insert the disc or SD card into the Wii and follow any on-screen instructions to update the Wiikey.
