Skype allows people to communicate through the use of a webcam.

Skype is a free program that allows users to speak to one another through the use of a webcam. All that is needed to run Skype is an Internet connection and a webcam. As such, people can utilize Skype to view videos that are broadcast in locations around the world that they do not normally have access to. All that is needed is a friend with Skype who does not mind facing their webcam towards their own television.
