How to Insert a Picture in Adobe Acrobat
Adobe Acrobat software allows you to convert documents of many types to PDF format. PDFs retain the formatting, content and document information of original documents and can be shared and viewed on almost all platforms in a consistent way.
With Adobe Acrobat, you can also work with PDF files in a number of ways. For example, you can add and delete text, insert and delete pages, and restrict users from printing or altering documents. You can also insert pictures that are in BMP, GIF, JPEG, PCX, PNG or TIFF formats.

unfortunately this inserts images with JPEG artifacts even when original image was a BMP or GIF. is it possible to add these kinds of images directly?
