How to Make a Mini Booklet
A mini booklet can be made from recycled paper of any size. Making one of these booklets is a great way to help preserve the environment, as trees are saved and the size of landfills is reduced when paper is recycled. Mini booklets can be made as gifts to encourage friends to go green and also serve a practical use. In addition, making your own mini booklet could save you money, as you then would not need to purchase a notebook, journal or address book.
Things You'll Need
- Paper (this could be recycled copy paper)
- Cover (made from heavier paper or construction paper)
- Stapler
- Staples
- Scissors
Instructions
-
-
1
Fold the paper lengthwise. Repeat for all the sheets of paper that you intend to have in your mini booklet.
-
2
Cut along the folded line for all sheets of paper. Once finished, you should have double the amount of paper but in narrower sheets.
-
-
3
Fold your narrow sheets of paper in half, bringing the top of the page even with the bottom. Repeat for each sheet of paper.
-
4
Open the sheets and align each sheet of paper on top of the next, with the fold lines corresponding so that the sheets fit evenly together. Tap and align all pages until all edges are even.
-
5
Staple the mini booklet pages together. Open the center of the mini booklet and staple along the fold, placing the staples 1/2 to 1 inch apart.
-
6
Make a cover for your mini booklet from a piece of construction paper that is of heavier weight. Cut and fold your cover as in steps 1 through 3. When attaching the cover, align the mini booklet with the cover and staple in between your previous staples to secure the cover in place. Your mini booklet is ready for use.
