How do I Make a Predator Halloween Costume?
The Predator has been a much-loved movie villain ever since he first squared off against Arnold Schwarzenegger in the 1987 classic "Predator". His arachnid-like appearance, alien armor and weaponry made him one of the most fearsome aliens to come out of Hollywood. After so many sequels, the Predator makes an instantly recognizable subject for a Halloween costume. Purchasing a Predator costume for Halloween can be extremely costly. Fortunately, making a Predator costume is not at all difficult.

1
Grab the wig and separate the hair into strands 1/2 inch thick. Keep the hairs together by wrapping loops of electrical tape around each strand. Cut 6- to 8-inch pieces of tape with the scissors to make the loops. Begin at the base of the wig and make a loop every 3 inches until you get to the end of the strand. Loop a piece of electrical tape around the end of the strand. Repeat for each strand of hair. Spray the outside of the wig with matte black spray paint. Let sit until dry.

2
Cut a piece of electrical tape as long as it takes to run from one side of the goalie mask to the other. Place the tape so that it runs from one ear to the other and covers a little less than the top of the eye holes of the goalie mask. Cut four to six more pieces of electrical tape that are as long as the brow on the mask. Place these overlapping each other, each one about 1/4 inch higher on the mask than the one it is overlapping. This will alter the mask to give it the Predator's signature brow and narrow eye holes. Spray the mask with steel color paint. Let dry.

Spray-paint the cardboard with steel paint. Stand further away from the cardboard and spray the cardboard very briefly with matte black paint to give the silver a light-dusted or oily look. This will be the arm and leg armor. This will give it a dirtied or aged appearance.

Put on your black shirt and pants. Put on your boots and tuck the pant legs into them. Place a piece of your cardboard armor on your leg, beginning just above your ankle and stopping below your knee. Wrap two strips of tape around the top and bottom of the board, fastening it to your leg. Do the same for your other leg. Do the same for your arms, keeping the armor strips on the outside of your forearms.

Put the wig on you head and the mask on your face. Put on your black gloves.
