      Connect the RCA end of the audio cable to the "RCA Audio Output" on the soundboard, then the 1/8-inch end directly into your computer's "External Audio Input" on your computer's sound card.

      Open Nero by clicking on the desktop icon, or "Start," "All Programs," then "Nero."

      Click "Menu" and select "Audio-Record" from the list of options. If you want your recording to be in standard CD quality, choose the sample rate 44100 Hz and 16-bit bit depth.

      Send audio from the soundboard to the computer to verify that the level of input is not clipping in Nero. You can always go back in and boost the audio level of the recording at a later point, but you cannot correct audio signal that is distorted due to clipping.

      Click "Record" on the Wave Editor Recording Console to begin the recording process. The record button in Nero is indicated by the red circular button.
