How to Mount a Zip File

Typically, users send or receive Zip files and unzip them with programs such as WinZIP. A Zip file is a data-compression format, which means one or more files have been compressed to reduce the file size. Instead of unzipping the file, mount it. Mounting the Zip file creates a virtual CD-ROM drive that opens all of the files in a folder instantly instead of downloading Zip software, extracting the Zip, creating Zip archives and other requirements to open the Zip file. Mounting Zip files saves you time since all of the files automatically extract when you mount the Zip.
