How to Transfer Child Support Jurisdiction from Florida to Tennessee
When you move from Florida to Tennessee and have a child support claim in Florida you need to move that claim to the Child Support Enforcement (CSE) division in Tennessee. This way the state can help enforce any child support needed for the children. There is no cost to register but you may be placed on a waiting list and later called by a Tennessee CSE representative for required supporting documentation to finalize the transfer.

2
Wait for a representative from the Tennessee Department of Human Services to contact you and request an interview. They will ask for child support documentation you registered in Florida and any other supporting documents. Take copies of both parents Social Security numbers, child's birth certificate, name of the other parent, last known place of work, date and place of marriage and divorce, most recent address, and the names of friends or family who may know the other parent.

3
Allow the CSE department in Tennessee to handle the issue when you are approved. Any existing support order will transfer to this state, so the absent parent's employer can garnish wages.
-
4
Receive your check from the CSE office, a division of the Tennessee Department of Human Services directly. Once child support jurisdiction has been established any payment the absentee parent makes will be to the CSE department, so the absentee parent can be credited for the payment.
