How to Connect a USB Ethernet Cord
Utilizing a wired Ethernet broadband connection provides some of the highest browser speeds available. Owning a computer that doesn't have an Ethernet port doesn't mean that you can't create a wired Ethernet connection. Various hardware manufacturers make USB adapters that create a makeshift Ethernet port for your laptop or desktop computer. Setting up this hardware will require that you install the device's drive software and then you're good to go for a wired network connection.

Insert the USB adapter into an unused USB port on your computer.

Wait for your computer to install all of the software drivers.

Take your Ethernet cable and plug it into the USB's Ethernet port.

Insert the other end of the Ethernet cable into your networking device.
