How to Make a Scrapbook for the Web
Digital scrapbooking is a unique way of scrapbooking digital photos without having to handle the print, paper, embellishments or glue. Creating a scrapbook for the web usually means writing a lot of code to enable it to be viewed electronically. With the use of any of the free digital scrapbooking software available, you can create scrapbook pages that are visually pleasing in a very short time. 1
Download digital scrapbooking software. There are many to choose from, so look for one that is easy to use and offers many different scrapbooking page templates. Many of the software packages are free to download and include special features such as e-newsletters, community chats and challenges and even free web scrapbook hosting allowing you to download your finished pages to one site. Some sites and software even give you the opportunity to get printed and bound copies of your scrapbook pages. Be sure to choose the site and software that most appeals to you.

2
Organize your digital photos into folders on your computer. This will make it easier for you to upload your photos into the scrapbooking templates as you are working with your software. For example, if you are making a baby scrapbook, place all the digital photos of the baby in one folder on your computer in an easily accessible place. The same can be said for birthday, vacation or even family pet pictures.

Find your digital template. The software will provide templates for your use. Select the one you wish to start with, upload your photos and follow the directions to customize your page. Most software will allow you to drag and drop your photos from place to place on the page depending upon the template. There may also be features and options that will allow you to add digital embellishments, change background colors and add words to the page. Once you are satisfied with your design, save the page.

4
Post your scrapbook page or book. Once you have completed and saved your digital scrapbook, you can upload it to the hosting website or as a digital photo on a photo hosting site. Once you post your scrapbook according to the instructions provided by your host, send an e-mail to your friends and family with a link to your new, uploaded page. They can view and comment on your new page.

Tips & Warnings
Print out the page, and add your own embellishments to it before putting into a scrapbook.
Remember, this is a digital scrapbooking page and so will be a one-dimensional page when printed. The embellishments available will provide some depth depending upon the picture, but the page itself will be completely flat.
