How to Write Music to a DVD
Write music to a DVD by burning it as a data DVD. By writing music to a data DVD, you can store up to 4.7 gigabytes of music on it. This makes DVDs an ideal form of media to archive your music collection.
Instructions

On a Mac

Click the Finder.

Click "File," then click "Create New Burn Folder."

Title the burn folder after the music you are burning to DVD.

Double-click the burn folder to open it. Drag the music you would like to write to DVD into this folder.

Click "Burn," insert a blank DVD-R into your computer, and the music you dragged into the burn folder will be written to DVD.

Eject the DVD-R from your computer when the burning process is complete.
On a PC

Insert a blank DVD-R into your computer and select "Burn Files to Data Disc" from the prompt that appears.

Title this data disc after the music you are burning to DVD.

Click "Show Formatting Options" and choose the "Mastered" formatting option. Click "Next" to confirm this choice.

Drag the music you would like to write to DVD into the empty burn folder that opens.

Click "Burn to disc" and the music you dragged into the burn folder will be written to DVD.

Eject the DVD-R from your computer when the burning process is complete.
