How do I Report an Abusive Tax Preparer?
How an abusive tax preparer is reported depends on the employment status of the tax preparer. Private company employees should be reported to their employer. If you do not feel that the problem was taken care of, then it should be reported to the IRS. Tax preparers who have their own practice should be reported directly to the IRS. Your concerns can be sent by email, phone or postal mail. The IRS also provides specific forms which can be completed.
