How to Remove Fake Eyelash Glue

Fake eyelashes are a game changer when it comes to making your eyes look big and sultry. But just like you should never fall asleep with your makeup on, you should also remove falsies before you go to bed. Once you loosen and remove the eyelashes, you want to be sure to remove all the glue. Doing this helps maintain the health of your natural eyelashes.

Soak a cotton ball in makeup remover. Close your eyes and gently wipe the cotton ball across your fake eyelashes, starting at the outer corner and working your way to the inner corner. Let the makeup remover sit on your fake eyelashes for a minute or so to give it a chance to loosen the adhesive.

Gently pull the fake eyelashes loose from the outer edge. If they are still adhered at any point, apply more eye-makeup remover and wait a minute before you resume removing the lashes.

Soak a cotton swab in eye-makeup remover. Dab the cotton swab on the glue that remains on your lash line.

Dampen a clean wash cloth with warm water and gently wipe it across your lash line to remove the eye-makeup remover and glue.

Remove any last traces of glue from your eye area by wiping coconut oil or olive oil across the lash line. Gently wipe your eye with a clean, damp wash cloth to remove the oil and final traces of glue.

Warning

Clean reusable fake eyelashes thoroughly after every use to keep them free of bacteria.
