Instructions

    • 1

Place ice cubes in a clean, damp washcloth, and hold to the skin along the bikini line. Ice will reduce swelling caused by the bikini rash. Hold the ice in place for 10 minutes, then pat the skin dry.

    • 2

Moisturize the skin immediately after shaving, using a moisturizer for sensitive skin. Gently smooth lotion into the skin with your fingertips.

    • 3

Apply 1 percent hydrocortisone cream to combat redness and irritation. Massage the cream into the razor burned area in the morning after the moisturizer has had a few minutes to soak into your skin.

    • 4

Dab benzoyl peroxide cream on any shaving pimples caused by razor burn. The cream helps diminish pimples that contribute to the rash and itchiness.

Tips & Warnings

  • Always shave after you've been in the shower or bath for a few minutes. The heat and water softens the hair, making it easier to shave.

  • Use a moisturizing shaving cream, and shave in the direction of hair growth.

  • If razor burn occurs in the bikini line area time and again, go to a salon for a bikini wax.
