How to Open an iPod Nano Chromatic Box
The iPod Nano Chromatic is available in nine different vibrant colors. It is only 3.6 inches long, 1.5 inches wide and weighs a mere 1.28 oz. When you have purchased the iPod Nano, it comes in a clear plastic box that includes the iPod Nano, earphones, dock adaptor, USB 2.0 cable and a quick start guide. To use your iPod Nano, you must get it out of the box.

Opening the Box

Remove the clear tape squares found on the two short ends of the box that hold it closed. To peel the tape off, start in the corner and scrape your nail along it until a piece lifts up. If you cannot peel the tape off, use a knife to carefully cut along the tape at the point where the box lid and bottom join.

Hold the plastic iPod box in the palm of one hand so that your thumb is along one long edge of the box. Your other four fingers should be along the other long side of the box.

Squeeze in the sides of the box gently. Do not use a lot of pressure.

Grasp the lid in your other hand and lift up.

Remove the plastic insert that is holding the iPod Nano from the box. Once it is out of the box, hold it so that your thumb is on at the bottom, two fingers are at the top and one finger is bent at the knuckle on the back of the plastic piece.

Apply pressure with your bent finger and gently pull down the two sides. This will make the plastic bend, allowing you to slide the iPod out.

Lift the cardboard flaps in the bottom of the clear plastic box. Inside are the iPod accessories that come with the iPod Nano Chromatic.

Do not apply too much pressure on the plastic box or it will crack.
