Consider the readers of your document before setting its page properties.

Reducing a printout's left and right margins allows you to display more information on a line. Increasing the margins improves readability by adding more white space to the document. White space on left and right margins shortens lines of text and decreases the distance the eye must travel to read it. Many Windows applications, such as Outlook 2007, have standard setup menus that allow users to adjust page margins and other print properties.
