How to Save PowerPoint to a CD

Most people who create a PowerPoint 2010 presentation must present their slideshow in a different venue than where it was created. Therefore, many people save their slideshows to a portable storage device, such as a USB flash drive, or send it to their email account to be opened from any computer with Internet access. Other people opt to burn their presentations to a CD. PowerPoint 2010 has built-in features to allow you to save your presentation to a CD so you can carry your slideshow wherever you go.

Instructions

    • 1

If necessary, save your presentation, and then insert a CD into your computer's CD-RW or CD-R drive.

    • 2

Select the "File" button, located on top of the Ribbon toolbar. A menu will appear to the left of your presentation.

    • 3

Choose "Save & Send" from the "File" menu.

    • 4

      Choose "Package Presentation for CD."

    • 5

Click the "Package for CD" button. A new dialog window will appear, in which you can set up the CD copying process. The presentation that is currently open is automatically set to copy to the CD.

    • 6

Click the "Add" button to add more PowerPoint slideshows to the CD. Clicking "Add" launches a new window where you can select other slideshows. Double-click your desired presentation. Repeat this step for additional slideshows.
