Hunting Near Florence, Alabama
Florence is one of four sister cities located in The Shoals of northwest Alabama along the Tennessee River. Hunting and fishing in these parts are highly desirable and pursued by many residents, as well as visitors from neighboring states. Hunters in this area not only hunt to provide for their own families, but also to help feed needy families by donating game to local meat markets. Hunting seasons for the Florence area of Lauderdale County vary by the type of game. Fall and spring hunting seasons include deer, rabbit, and squirrel. Turkey hunting is allowed only in the spring.
