How to Share a Keyboard & Mouse Between Two Applications on One Computer thumbnail
Nearly all programs take advantage of the computer's keyboard and mouse.

Windows allows users to run multiple applications at once, allowing you to multitask and use several applications to accomplish a task. When an application is active, or selected, the basic input and output devices, such as the mouse, keyboard and printer, are available to that application, provided the application supports those items. Windows 7 makes it easy to switch between running applications, allowing you to get the most done in the shortest amount of time.

Press and hold the "ALT" key, then press the "Tab" key to open the application switching utility. Continue to hold the "ALT" key and press the "Tab" key to switch between applications. As the applications are selected, the other windows will become invisible, and only the selected application will be displayed. Release the "ALT" key to activate the selected application.
